1 Corithanians 13 v 13
And now abideth faith, hope and charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. (Love) King James Version
I was thinking of a real life drama that I have been through recentlly and it dawn on me if you really love someone you will suffer to see that person’s life is safe if you know that that person is in danger.
I won’t mention name but I believe this is a good story for me to share because it made me think of Jesus and his death for us as we celebrate this Easter.
It is about a youth that came to me asking if I needed help. Immediately I saw the youth, I knew the youth was intelligent but manic depressed and was about to be crashed. My heart froze with fear both for me and the youth. I sent the youth away saying I will call if I needed anyone. I was very concerned for that youth and did not want to see another youth gone on the scrap heap with drugs from the medical system or as many have done commit suicide. I then cried to my Lord Jesus telling Him if He wants me to care for that youth, that youth has to come back. But it was bothering me and I was praying for a number of them I saw in the area. I had only recently been in that area. Eventually after a few weeks I called but got no response so I thought it was Ok and I did not have that job. However, about two weeks later the youth came back, so because of my promise to Jesus I had no choice but to get an identification and took the youth on. I knew the youth’s condition but the youth did not know and I did not want to offend the youth. My sole concern was to see that youth was free from the pressures that, that youth was going through and I was certain once the pressures were eased that life would be normal and would become a useful citizen. I soon discovered that I had to make a choice either to save money and business or lose everything and save that youth’s life. I decided that no amount of money could purchase a human life so I’ve decided to save that youth life cost it what it will. To cut a long story short, I allowed myself to be used and abused by that youth because of my love for Jesus and the youth. Even christians were concerned for me because they could have seen the type of spirit in that person but I know Jesus loves everybody and if that was a job I had to do He will carry me through and would save that youth in the end.
I am glad to say that youth has been saved from manic and post Traumatic depression without becoming a zombie with drugs. Yes, it caused a great change in my life and I have to start all over again. Through it all my Jesus was with me. He is always just in time to save me from disaster and never ever let me down.
This story is evidence that Jesus is real and He loves everybody on earth but he will not force anyone to love him. We have a choice.
Jesus loves us that much that He suffered and died in our place for us and hurts Him when we reject Him. That is True Love.
Do you love yourselves enough to Love Jesus? It is the only way to God the Father and Eternal life.
