Freedom

Jesus Said:

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free:

John 8 v 32

As I have mentioned before Jesus was talking spiritually. The people did not understand his logic and they said to him we have never been in bondage so how come you are telling us the truth will make us free?

Jesus answered them and told them in my words it was not a physical act but the bondage is sin. He said whosoever committed sin is a servant/slave to sin. Clearly this statement refers to all of us human because everyone of us sin. Some people may question sin but sin is, in my opinion not recognising and obeying our creator God of which we are all guilty. Jesus who is God was trying to explain to the people that just following rules and regulations would not bring them to God because God cannot tolerate sin. The people were even more confused and mentioned Abraham was their Father, therefore they were children of God. Jesus rebuked them immediately and told them if Abraham was their father they would have loved him. He told them they were the children of the devil because they have the devil’s characteristics and wanted to kill Him. Jesus could only have spoken like that because He knew who He was and unbelief was blinding thier eyes. Unbelief had their spirit in bondage and we are experiencing the same thing today.

In other words people are constantly seeking freedom of/from you name it, but the fact of the matter is, if our spirits are not free no man could give freedom. To be free You need to know Jesus and to follow Him. When we get to know Jesus we will automatically feel a freedom in our spirit and our earthly life would be transformed to peace and Joy within us.
