The opposite of Blessed is Cursed.
Genesis 3 : 1-7 king James version
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God has made. And he said unto the woman, Yea hath God said , Ye shall not eat of every tree of the Garden?
And the woman said unto the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall Ye touch it, lest Ye die.
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day Ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat.
And the eyes of them both were opened and they knew that they were naked: and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
This is a story I am hearing from a child, with everyone giving his/her opinion, along with blaming woman for man’s curse or downfall.
As I read the book of Genesis it is clear to me that everything God created is good and loved what he created.
However, he created mankind with a difference: that is: in his own Image and Likeness, therefore expects something different from us.
Not just to be dormant but to be active with him as we are with our children. In other-words relationship! “Does that make sense”?
Suddenly! what happened? Two masters want man’s relationship. Our creator and his adversary Satan. Our creator that is LOVE won’t destroy man so he gave man a choice. To love Him or despise him by obedience or disobedience as happened when Adam the man, chose to eat from his wife the woman. He could have obeyed God, who spoke to him directly and don’t eat from his wife.
Satan could have put doubt in Eve’s mind but no way could Adam doubted; because God spoke with him directly not EVE.
They knew they were naked and sewed fig leaves together making aprons to cover themselves, gives me the impression of guilt, being unable to face God, but God made a way for us to Face him again through the blood of Jesus Christ.
